Project List
teaching

The list includes various project types :
http://vrlab.epfl.ch/~boulic/icones/i_sem1.gif= Semester

 http://vrlab.epfl.ch/~boulic/icones/i_dip.gif= Master

A project associated with multiple icons indicates how the work to be done differs depending on the project type, especially between Semester and Master.

Meaning of other icons

http://vrlab.epfl.ch/~boulic/icones/is_duo.gif-> projects that can be done by a team of 2 students (SysCom)

 is_hardware  -> hardware oriented projects
http://vrlab.epfl.ch/~boulic/icones/is_new.gif-> New project.  http://vrlab.epfl.ch/~boulic/icones/is_rmj2.gif-> Updated project

The projects are grouped by topics

1. Human-Machine Interface, Augmented Reality

2. Modelling, Simulation, Deformation, Animation

3. Higher-level  Behavioral Control

Registration:

It is not possible to ask an assistant to keep a project for you for a while. We accept only firm registration done by making the official application on GESTAC. Before doing so, the student must have the agreement of the person proposing the project.

How to get the list of projects already officially taken :

It may happen that a project listed below is already taken by a student and this fact is not yet reflected in the list. If you want to get the list of projects officially taken, just proceed as follow:

1)      from www.epfl.ch go to the « Etudiant » then « IS – Academia / Getsac », then « ACCES PUBLIC », then « Inscription aux projets,… par enseignants »,

2)      You arrive on a page where you have to select :

The academic year

The semester « automne » or « printemps »,

Then the name of the lecturer. For the VRLAB type « Thalmann », then choose « Thalmann Daniel », or type “Boulic”, then choose “Boulic Ronan”.

You obtain the list of  projects already taken, sorted by categories: first the Master projects, then the semester projects per section (SC, Info).
